Established almost a year ago, The Stony Point Refugees were form when their local Games Workshop closed, and in that time have grown into central Virginia's largest gaming group. With official meets on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays and tournaments and painting competitions serveral times a year, SPRs have transformed Richmond's gaming culture.

The Broadside Bash GT. An Indy and GW circuit GT held annually at the Stratigecon convention in February in Los Angeles, CA.
The 3rd annual BSB will be held on February 13th & 14th at the Radisson LAX. This tournament will host Warhammer 40k, Warhammer Fantasy Battles and War of the Ring.

Captial City Carnage IGT Austin, TX May 1&2, 2010

Austin, the capital of Texas, is proud to host the a Warhammer Fantasy Independent Grand Tournament - Capital City Carnage.
Independent Grand Tournaments are an amazing, weekend-long gaming event for Warhammer players of all skill levels. You will play five games over two days with dozens of the best players and most amazing armies from all over Texas, the USA and occasionally from across the world. IGTs stress a fun gaming atmosphere, good sportsmanship, and creative use of models from any manufacturer. Austin will be joining the likes of the Alamo (San Antonio), Lone Wolf (Dallas), Bayou Battles (Houston) and Wasteland Wars (Lubbock) in hosting a large-scale Warhammer Fantasy Tournament. Our venue is a fantastic hall in the Austin Convention Center!
Austin is a vibrant and energetic city famous for it's live music, beautiful urban parks and eclectic culture (our city motto is "Keep Austin Weird"). The Austin Convention Center is located in the heart of the city. So whether you are taking in the night life on Austin's infamous 6th Street or watching the world's largest urban bat colony fly out from the Congress Avenue bridge, there will be something to enjoy when you are not busy pillaging the tabletop. Austin also enjoys an awesome local gaming scene.
